<image:title>Natalie's Bio - Individual, Group, Couples, and Family Therapist</image:title>
<image:caption>Natalie Blauer Licensed Master of Social Work Certification in Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counseling I started Wholehearted Counseling Services to be able to offer folks the kind of therapy experience I would like to have: non-judgmental, perspective-offering, educational, uplifting, honest, and effective. I believe most people seek out a therapist because there is something that isn’t working well in their lives. They want to see change and, somehow, they found the courage and strength to search for some help. If this describes your situation, good for you. I start by listening to my client and learning about what they are struggling with. I get a bird’s eye view of the individual and the situation and then, over time, we dial it in until we have reached the “core” of the issue. Once we have identified the core, or parts of the core, we make a plan to rebuild in a way that feels more comfortable for the client. I am passionate about working with people who, despite their fears, are willing to look at what it would be like to change. Change is, by definition, scary and uncomfortable. My job is to be here with you and take the steps to rebuild in a way that feels healthy and stable for you. A little bit about me: I love yoga, spending time with my husband and daughter, and being active outdoors. I love coffee and the fall. I enjoy hiking, being in Lake Michigan, reading a good book, and watching mindless TV shows. I completed my undergrad at Michigan State University and started working in social work as a foster care case manager in 2013. In 2018, I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University and started working as a substance use disorder therapist at Sanford Addiction Treatment Centers. There I did group and individual work and found a deep passion for substance recovery work and working to put families back together. Basically, if you’re willing to be here, I’m willing to be here with you. I hope to see you soon! Email — LinkedIn — Facebook</image:caption>

      <image:title>About WCS - A modern approach</image:title>
<image:caption>I want to help take away your “excuses” for not doing therapy. I do not want “busyness” to be a reason why therapy won’t work for you. If that means we meet in the morning before the kids wake up, at your lunch hour, in the evening once the house is quiet, or on the weekends, we can make that happen. Perhaps the only positive thing that came from COVID-19 was learning that we can make therapy work via telehealth, which means we have more flexibility in when and how frequently we meet. If meeting online is not your thing, I understand. I have a physical office; let’s talk about what it would be like to meet in person.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About WCS - What We Do…..</image:title>
<image:caption>If we want to live and love with our whole hearts, we have to talk about the things that get in the way, especially fear and shame….and substance use, communication barriers, relationship issues, work anxiety, mental health discomfort, family arguments, marriage resentments, etc. The concept of wholehearted living is cleaning up the “gunk” that clouds our ability to laugh, and connect, and be successful, and find happiness, and enjoy peace. Getting through the “gunk” is usually uncomfortable and it is by no means an easy process. But, this is what I do. You are in safe and competent hands and I will walk you through it. We will clean it up together. And you will find the healing and space in your life that you have wanted, probably for far too long.</image:caption>
